I saw the Birchglen going up the Welland Canal sunday evening, but it was rainy and I didn’t stop, and there’s nowhere to stop nohow on the stretch of road past the flight locks. This is from last June at the lock 3 viewing station.

Indeed. Apparently they call those scrapes “canal rash”.
You can’t comprehend how big these ships are until you stand next to one. I always watch for the lakers to come into port in Oshawa.
